Our Values

Our core values articulate how we carry God’s presence, pursue growth, foster meaningful connections, and empower others to live abundant, purpose-driven lives.

Keeps us focused on God.
Worship

Worship is more than just song or dance. It’s a lifelong expression of our love for God and our recognition of His goodness in every area of life. This is where true inner and outer transformation comes from.

We see ourselves and others as Jesus does.
Grace

We live from union with Jesus, not striving for approval, but resting in our God-given identity. We extend grace freely because we have received it fully.

Heaven’s design for us, our relationships, and our world.
Wholeness

Heaven’s plan for our lives is more than just a behavior modification program. We know Jesus cares deeply about our heart, mind, and body, as witnessed by His many miracles in the Gospels.

We thrive when we grow together.
Community

Growth happens best when it’s done within the context of family and connection. Life is better when we do it together.

Working together as one body.
Unity

We honor differences, pursue reconciliation, and partner across generations and backgrounds to see God’s purposes manifested in our lives, relationships, and our world.

Freely we have received, freely we give.
Generosity

We give with open hands—of our time, resources, and finances—because we know that all blessing flows from God. We are called to give what we have freely and abundantly received.

We release people to live in grace and walk in authority.
Empowerment

We raise up individuals and groups who take ownership of their spiritual lives, their calling, and their communities—with courage, agency, and purpose.

Keeps us focused on God.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in the pursuit of living out our faith with boldness and passion.

  • The Trinity

We believe in the triune God (the Trinity), one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Dt 6:4, Mt 28:19). The three persons of the Trinity are distinct and unified, of the same essence/nature, and from eternity past coexisting and working together in perfect harmony to bring about His redemptive plans for humanity.

    1. The Father

We believe in God the Father, the Source of all things, uncreated and existing eternally before time with his Son whom he sent to the world to die for our sin to reconcile all to himself. He is the One who sends, sending His Son to redeem us (Jn 3:16), then sending His Spirit to indwell us (Jn 15:26, 1 Cor 6:19), then sending us (His sons and daughters) into all the world to make disciples from all nations (Jn 20:21, Mt 28:18-20). He is the great Giver, giving His Son, His Spirit, and every good and perfect gift to His children (Jn 3:16, Lk 11:13, Jas 1:17). He is the one who gives rebirth and adoption into His family to all who receive His Son (Jn 1:12, 1 Pet 1:3, Gal 4:5-6). He is the great Lover, loving the world so much that He gave His only Son (Jn 3:16) that whoever believes in Him doesn’t perish but receives eternal life.

    1. Jesus

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary (Mt 1:23), fully God and fully man (Jn 1:1,14), uncreated and existing eternally with the Father and the Holy Spirit before all time. He is God incarnate, the Word of God made flesh, sent by God to reveal the Father (Jn 1:18) and be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins so that we could enjoy eternal life with Him. Jesus’ teachings on love, forgiveness, humility, and repentance are at the core of our beliefs. We also believe in Jesus’ resurrection, that it was proof of His deity and the promise of eternal life for all those who believe (Jn 11:25). We are called to follow Jesus (Jn 8:12), to live lives of holiness (1 Pe 1:15), and to share the good news of the gospel. As we learn to love and serve others, we are reminded of Jesus’ example of love and sacrifice (Jn 13:14-15).

    1. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. He testifies to the reality of Jesus, God’s Son, enabling the unbeliever to respond to God’s kindness and receive Christ (Jn 15:26). He indwells the believer, empowering us in all aspects of life, including in our fellowship with the Father and His Son, and as witnesses of the Christ within (1 Cor 6:19, Acts 1:8, Eph 2:18). Always with us, he is called alongside us as a continual source of comfort, guidance, and strength (Jn 14-16). He, the Spirit of Truth, helps us to remember and understand God’s word, the Bible (Jn 14:26, 16:13), and helps us to live out its teachings in our lives. He also empowers his people with gifts and callings (see the Church below for greater detail).

  • Salvation

We believe salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8). We believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us and give us eternal life (Jn 3:16-18). Salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus and repentance of our sins (Acts 2:38, 3:19). We understand that we are saved through grace and not by any works of our own (Eph 2:8-9), that no matter what mistakes we make, God’s love and grace are always available to us. We believe that through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have the assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life with God (1 Jn 5:13). God’s gift of salvation, made possible by the completed work of Christ on the cross is multidimensional and includes the following:

    • justification (whereby he has declared us to be righteous, holy, and beautiful, Rom 5:1, SS 5:2),
    • forgiveness and cleansing of sin (where we are washed clean of all sin, Eph 1:7, 1 Cor 6:11),
    • redemption and deliverance (whereby we have been set free from the power of sin and the devil, Col 1:13-14, 2:13-15), and
    • adoption and rebirth (whereby we are called his children and imbued with a new nature, Jn 1:12, 1 Pet 1:3, 2 Cor 5:17, Gal 4:5-6).
    • healing (whereby God not only heals the broken heart, but heals our bodies, and so bringing wholeness, something Christ’s work on the cross paid for, Isaiah 53:5)

This salvation is played out in our lives by God’s fathering (Phil 1:6, 2:12-13) so that the reality of the new creation is manifest in the way we think (e.g., the continual renewal of our minds, Rom 12:2) and the way we live, that the image of Christ is evident in our lives for all to see (Rom 8:29).

  • The Bible

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible (2 Tim 3:16), that it is the word of God. We believe that the holy Scriptures are our standard for life, and that its truth, integrity, and relevance is of utmost importance. The Bible is not just a book, but his living word, by which God speaks to us, giving us daily wisdom, guidance, and encouragement (Ps 119:105, Rom 15:4). As we read, study, and meditate on the God-breathed Scriptures (Ps 1:3, Jos 1:8-9), God reveals himself and His love for us and helps us see ourselves and others the way He does, how to live and act, and how to grow and deepen our walk with Him.

  • The Church

We believe that the Church the body of Christ (Eph 5:23), the body of believers in Christ throughout the world. It is also a holy local assembly of believers, united in faith and love. We strive to be a community of believers who are united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our commitment to serve Him and His kingdom. We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another. We believe that the Church is called to serve and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people, making disciples of all nations (Mt 28:18-20). With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to follow His teachings. We strive to live out our faith through loving actions and service to our community and the world.

We believe that God has imbued and empowered the body of Christ with people of different giftings, functions, and callings. We believe in the following ministerial gifts given to equip the body of Christ until it is united in faith and mature: apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors (Eph 4:11-16). We also believe that there are many other gifts that the Holy Spirit distributes for the building up of the body (Rom 12:4-8, 1 Cor 12, 1 Cor 14): service, giving, encouragement, leading, showing mercy, teaching,  prophecy, healing, words of knowledge and wisdom, speaking in tongues (privately/devotionally as well as for the edification of the body) and interpretation of tongues, faith, and miracles – all these for the equipping, building, and strengthening of the church. But we believe the power of God expressed through his Church is not only displayed in the gathering of believers but also as we share the gospel, through the healing of the sick and deliverance from demonic oppression (Mt 9:35, 10:1,8, Lk 5:31) – all part of the expression of God’s love, compassion and and power, that all may come to encounter and know Him personally and give their lives to Him.

  • Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer, both individually (Psalms) and corporately (Mt 18:20, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life (Rom 12:12, 1 Th 5:17) and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. We pray for guidance, strength, healing, protection, and for our families, friends, and community. Through prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's will and His plans for our lives (Eph 5:10,17). Prayer is a beautiful way to develop a deeper relationship with God, receiving His love and growing in it (Jude 1:20-21), and gaining a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. When we pray, we open ourselves up to God, and He will answer us in His own way and in His own time.

There are many facets to prayer (Eph 6:18):

    • worship (where our hearts adore Him as a response to His love and presence, Ps 95:6),
    • praise (where we exalt and magnify Him, Psalm 34:1-3),
    • thanksgiving (where we express our heartfelt appreciation for all God does and faithfully provides, Psalm 100:4, 1 Th 5:18),
    • petition (where we make requests), intercession (where we pray on behalf of others, Phil 4:6),
    • contemplative prayer (where in God’s presence we contemplate His goodness, beauty, love, and power, Ps 63:2-5, 2 Cor 3:18), and
    • spiritual warfare (where in God’s presence we use God’s armor to resist the enemy and where we can also use God’s authority to bring freedom to others, Eph 6:10-17).
